Dr. Jemmott grew up in San Marcos, California, on a small avocado farm. She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from the start. She would often find stray or abandoned cats on their property that she would take in and care for. She learned from a young age how rewarding it was to bond with an animal that previously did not trust people. Her passion for animals brought her to Texas to study Animal Science at Texas A&M, and ultimately she obtained her DVM from Texas A&M. Gig Em, Aggies! She has spent her past years practicing emergency animal medicine, which has been both challenging and more rewarding than she ever anticipated. When she not working overnights in the ER, she enjoys woodworking, camping and hiking with her dogs, and traveling with her wife. They have three dogs (Tanner, Dent, and Hallie Berry) and a handsome tuxedo cat (Shock).
