Dr. Stephanie Beardsley is one of the original founders of CTVSEH. She is originally from Maryland with a short stint spent in Michigan. She likes to tell everyone she is from Texas because that is where her heart is. Dr. Beardsley grew up in Houston and spent eight years at Texas A&M for both undergraduate work and veterinary school. She spent a year in Los Angeles for her internship followed by 3 years completing her surgical residency at The Ohio State University. Dr. Beardsley met and married Dr. Kerpsack while at OSU. The two of them, along with Dr. Theisen, decided to make Austin home when they started CTVSEH in 1995. Due to medical reasons, Dr. Beardsley no longer operates on patients, but still loves being an intricate part of the medical team of CTVSEH. She enjoys photography, spending time with friends, and hanging out at the lake. She also enjoys being with Dr. Kerpsack watching their daughter compete nationally in hunter/jumper competitions and their son compete in collegiate lacrosse games. At home, she loves watching their dogs romp around while sitting on the back porch.
