Emergency patients are seen based upon severity of injury. Life threatening cases are prioritized first, causing long wait times. Please call if your pet’s condition deteriorates while waiting and we will advise. Do not leave your designated parking space while waiting. Once your pet is examined, you will be presented with an estimate of charges and payment will be due at time of service. For your convenience and safety, payments are accepted via our website.

Dr. Stephen Kerpsack is one of the original founders of CTVSEH. He grew up in Northeastern Ohio with 3 brothers and 1 sister. After attending The Ohio State University for undergraduate and veterinary school, he completed an internship in West LA. He returned to OSU for his surgical residency and remained on as part of the veterinary school faculty for another year. He and his wife, Dr. Stephanie Beardsley, as well as Dr. Sherry Theisen, moved to Austin to start CTVSEH in 1995. Dr. Kerpsack enjoys fishing, cycling, wakeboarding, and skiing. His favorite past time, however, is spending time with his wife, daughter, son, 2 dogs, 3 horses, and a school of fish.
