Staci Murphy Cox
DVM
Dr. Cox received her bachelor of science from Georgia Tech in 2000 - Summa Cum Laude. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Cox worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a Research Fellow studying the rabies virus. She later attended the University of Georgia, receiving her veterinary degree in 2007 - Magna Cum Laude, and was a member of the Phi Zeta Honor Society. She joined our team in 2008 after completing an internship at Texas A&M University.
Nicole Antalffy
DVM
Dr. Antalffy attended Texas A&M University where she received her BS in Biomedical Science in 2001. She then moved to Austin where she joined our hospital as a veterinary technician until she left for veterinary school in 2006. Dr. Antalffy graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine Magna Cum Laude in 2010, moved back to Austin, and rejoined our hospital team as a veterinarian.
Chelsea Pearce
DVM
Dr. Pearce graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in Biology in 2001. From there she decided to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine and applied to the program at Texas A&M. Four years after that initial application, Chelsea Pearce graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in veterinary medicine.
Jeff Poulsen
DVM
Dr. Poulsen graduated from the veterinary school at Texas A&M University in 2012 after doing his undergraduate work in biology at the University of North Texas. He worked in Abilene after school, and came to Austin as fast as possible when the opportunity arose to join the team at EAHNWA.
Chloe Matelski
DVM
Dr. Chloé Matelski earned her DVM from Texas A&M in 2015. Before veterinary school, she attended Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science at the University of North Texas and earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M. She studied overseas in Kenya, Spain, and Italy and continues to travel and explore the world every chance she gets.
Allison Tate
DVM
Dr. Tate graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in Psychology and Neuroscience in 2008. She then worked as a Veterinary Technician for 4 years in general practice. She received her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine(St. Kitts) in 2015, after completing a year of clinical rotations at the University of Florida. She returned to the Austin area to complete her externships, one of which was at EAHNWA, developing a passion for emergency medicine.
Katelyn Thompson
DVM
Dr. Katelyn Thompson grew up in a tight knit family on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She graduated from Mississippi State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 and went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at a referral emergency practice in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Her professional interests include critical care, surgery, and emergency medicine. In her spare time, Dr.
John Pullen
DVM
Dr. Pullen joined the staff at EAHNWA after graduating from veterinary school at Oklahoma State University in 2017. He had a strong interest in emergency medicine while attending university. Prior to moving to Oklahoma, he worked as a chemist for three years in the biofuel industry in Houston, TX. Dr. Pullen has two pets--a black lab, Abby, and a cat named Pearl. When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Pullen enjoys canoeing, sailing, bicycling, music, and exploring the Austin-area.
