Percy is an 11 year old Dachshund mix that was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma in September 2019 after his spleen ruptured. He was started on IV doxorubicin while awaiting his test results which showed overexpression of KIT and VEGFR, which happen to both be targets of Palladia.
While the majority of dogs with splenic hemangiosarcoma have not been shown to benefit from Palladia; when therapy is selected based on tumor DNA it has a higher chance of being successful.
